EigenLayer (EIGEN)

EigenLayer is a protocol built on Ethereum that introduces restaking, allowing ETH, liquid staking tokens, EIGEN, and other assets to help secure additional services. These services, known as Actively Validated Services (AVSs), can use Ethereum's existing trust network instead of bootstrapping independent validator sets. EIGEN is used in the EigenLayer and EigenCloud ecosystem for staking and governance around this shared security model.
