Velodrome Finance is a decentralized exchange and liquidity marketplace native to Optimism, built on ve(3,3) tokenomics that combine vote-escrowed governance with liquidity incentives. VELO is used for liquidity mining, emissions, and governance. Aerodrome, the sibling protocol on Base, is a separate deployment by the same core team rather than a multichain expansion of the same instance.
