The Argentine peso is the official currency of Argentina, issued by the Banco Central de la República Argentina. Persistent inflation and capital controls have made stablecoins a common savings and payment channel there, so ARS is used as a fiat reference asset for peso-denominated balances, prices, deposits, withdrawals, and fiat-backed products.
